“Jesus answered them and said, ‘Most assuredly, I
say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the
signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were
filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but
for the food which endures to everlasting life…”
(John 6:26-27).
Many churches fool themselves into believing that
the way to people’s hearts are through their
stomachs. They think that if they offer free meals
that that will draw souls to Christ. However the only
food that the apostles used to draw souls to Christ
was the gospel of Christ. Paul said, “for the kingdom
of God is not food and drink, but righteousness and
peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom. 14:17).
Jesus Himself set the priority: “Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from
the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4); and again, “Blessed
are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be filled” (5:6). So then, if you are
hungry for spiritual things we invite you to come feast
with us.
