God Is: A List of God Is Descriptions from the Bible
Below is a list of verses from the King James Translation of the Bible describing God, all utilizing the phrase “God is”. However, consider first His words to Moses:
Exodus 3:13-14 – And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? Last of the verses, is one very strong. For all the descriptions and attributes given of God, it is made clear that Jesus Christ is God. The Son, the Father, the Spirit, they are one. God is one.
1 John 5:20 – And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
